Are there benefits available to those who become members of COPL? How can I become a member?

The COPL Board has established a collection of a dozen benefits that will be available to individual members and contributors to COPL in the bronze-platinum ranges. Some of these benefits are presently available to COPL members, and some others are still under construction.

Membership Benefits Include:

2. Present an annual overview report on potential funding sources for research grants—clinical research, as well as outcomes/evidence-based research in the O&P field;

4. Email updates on the latest developments in DARPA, VA, comparative effectiveness research;

5. Two podcasts produced each year—what’s new in O&P clinical research;

6. A bi-monthly newsletter content published by the Center, alerting center members to noteworthy research, funding opportunities and other topics of interest in advancing evidence-based and outcomes principles in O&P.

7. Members of the Center would be entitled to admission without fee to on-line clinical education units which AOPA is developing for a minimum of one-year after joining the Center.

8. A reception for Center members at the AOPA National Assembly;

9. Special workshops relative to conducting research or developing a research thesis statement, IRB issues, issues relating to industry support.

10. Other educational tools, probably web-based to disseminate knowledge, information, skills and experience in outcomes/evidence-based research in the O&P field.

12. Individual members of the Center would have access to use the framework from the developing AOPA patient care registry, both for enrolling patients in studies being authorized by AOPA, but also for use of this framework in any research being conducted by the member;
